Uh, yeah, I kinda became obsessed with Death Note over night.

Somehow, I have a feeling that this will not be conductive to me getting my coursework done on time...

*sigh* Yes, I'm hopeless, I know. I've already spent several (million) hours watching it. I'm on episode ten now, having watched it till 3 in the morning, then gotten up at 8 and started watching it again.

Anywhoo! Death Note. I really like the plot line for it, and it has some very tense moments. L, or Ryuuzaki, or Ryuga, or whatever it is that we're calling him now, is by far my favourite character. I keep rewatching his scenes just to pinpoint his minute change of facial expressions throughout the scene. Plus, he looks so adorable when he's indulging his sweet tooth (which is all the time...). What's more, I really like his random way of sitting, and the way he pushes his lips with his fingers. Makes it more realistic, to me. I do that all the time when I'm thinking. ^_^

Right, enough of me fangirling over L. Basically, it's a very good anime and it's such a relief to finally have a main character who isn't painfully good. Though he does claim to be fighting for justice, we all know that Light is a complete bastard. Go L, you smite him good!

And that's about it... The only other thing I have to say is that I saw Sweeney Todd in the cinema, and it was freaking amazing, I'm so glad I went. I've been fangirling over Sweeney Todd for the past few weeks, so really latching onto L is a nice change of pace! ^_^

Oh, yeah, and the ski trip was quite cool. Skiing itself was fun, and the free time was fairly good, but I missed Lyci a lot so it's kinda balanced out.

So! Making Lyci's Pokemon/Sleepy Hollow music video. Surprisingly enough, I've managed to fit the song and clips quite well so far, but it's only when I played the track all the way through that I realised it wasn't the short, opening-to-the-programme song that I remembered from my childhood, noooo, this track is the freaking LONG version designed to piss off people who happen to be making Pokemon/Sleepy Hollow music videos. >_<

To be perfectly honest, there are only so many clips in Sleepy Hollow that I can fit to lyrics like "I wanna be the very best, like no one ever waaaaas, to catch them is my real quest, to train them is my caaaaause!!"

Still, at least there have been no hiccups so far. BACK TO WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER! *points dramatically*

Made a Secret Window music video, because I'm just really cool like that. ¬_¬
I feel okay about it, though I'm suspicious because it only took me half an hour, and I keep expecting to find some huge mistake in the middle of it.

Also, I put this up ages ago but forgot to mention it. Might as well include it here for my own reference.

I've made a list of music videos I want to make at some point. There are LOOOADS. It's good that I've finally started writing ideas down, 'cause I get them a lot, but when I'm actually feeling creative I can't remember any of them. And the list is still steadily growing - no movie or song is safe from my geek-ness!! MWAHAHAHAA.

So here I am, 1:00AM, sitting on the sofa watching yet ANOTHER John Leguizamo movie. The movies are staaaalking meeee!!!

Seriously, I had just watching Love Actually on TV and was about to go upstairs when the voiceover annouces "And next on ITV2, a movie featuring a drug-dealer who gives up his profession to become a legit businessman."

'Hold on," I thought. "This sounds familiar..."

"With strong language, flashing images and scenes of violence from the beginning, it's-"

"EMPIRE!" We announce as one.

And this is why I am never going to get my sleeping pattern back to normal.

But they're right, it had to have a decent script first.
And yes, I know I was all pissed off at World's End, but I watched it again today, and I've realised that it's really not as bad as I thought!! It was actually rather good. ^_^

In other news, the family and I played a game I got for Christmas called "Zombies" yesterday. It was really fun!! Basically, you build a map as you go along and try and escape the zombies and make it to the helicopter pad. And you also get to control the zombies and use them against other players. Hard to explain, but very very amusing.
The aim of the game is either to get to the helicopter pad or to kill 25 zombies. The rest of the family all decided to be cowards and headed for the helicopter, but I was just having a great time slaying loads of zombies (FEAR MY AWESOME DICE-ROLLING POWEEER!!!).
I really wasn't playing to win, because I was heading AWAY from the helicopter and just randomly having fun getting zombies to attack other people, but the rest of the family started getting all omptetitive and were racing to the pad. Of course, all the other players would move zombies in the way, and they kept dying and having to start again. This went on for ages, with me just wandering around killing zombies and doing everything in my power to stop Tom from winning because he had pissed me off earlier. Then randomly, mum goes "Oh, you've got quite a lot of zombies there, Flo!" I counted them and I had 23. Two left to go!! Dad, mum and Tom were all nearing the heli-pad (after all dying for the third time. xD) and I was looking at my 'event cards' when I just randomly shouted out "OH!!! OH OH OH!!" and got all excited. "I use [Name of card]!!!" It means that I can move any two zombies to anywhere I like on the map. They started to be all "Come on, two zombies aren't going to stop us, blahblahblah..." when I just moved the zombies right next to me and killed 'em both. Twenty-five zombies dead!
VICTOOORY!!!

I WON! I ACTUALLY WON A BOARD GAME!!

I was just talking to my friend on msn, who said something to me that interested me.
She said that she felt like she was constantly acting at life, like, always planning what to say next to get what reaction, and so never felt like she was being herself due to permanently being in a "What should I say next to make them say this?" state of mind.
Her exact words for "It's like you're playing a part in life, and you're constantly being someone who you know for a fact that you're actually not. Like the words coming out of your mouth are always planned, and it's only at the end of the day that you realise that you've just been pretending all day."

So...... what do you think? Is this natural? O_o
I wasn't sure what to say to her.

The SECOND was titled "Alleged Wife-Poisoning". It read "Florence Benham, the young wife of Howard Benham, died suddenly last Monday." Turns out Mr Howard murdered his wife. O_o Let us hope it's not 'cause people just like killing people called "Florence Benham".
Oh, and the third link said in clear, capital letters: "BENHAM SENTENCED TO DIE".

Some Land of the Dead MVs. I'd appreciate it if you'd maybe watch at least one, but it's entirely your choice. These are mostly just here to remind myself of them, anyway. ^_^

There's this one Good music, and quite a decent music video. Not scary in the least, but contains some slight gore, and, you know, a few zombies walking around. Contains blood and the like.

Or this one Just... lots and lots of gore... and zombies walking around looking vaguely stupid. A good video, but not my kind of thing. However - it does contain that kick ass scene with Cholo dealing with the Old Man who hung himself then came back as a zombie.

Or this one! Might be considered a little scarier than the others. Still not actually shocking or frightening, but it has more close-ups on the zombies and stuff. This one is made with scenes from the Unrated Cut - aka the Extra Extra Gory Cut, so it's got a few more scenes where you sorta pull a face and go "Didn't really need to see that." but this is the best made one out of the videos, so totally worth watching.

If you watch any of 'em, I LOVE YOU!! But don't force yourself too. ^_^

Okay, first things first: I officially love Land of the Dead, and it is so sad that there is no fanfiction for it.
But alas, I don't have the time to fangirl at the moment, so:

Edit: I take that back. Probably NOT my favourite scene, but still a good one. It can't be one of my favourite scenes, because the scene with Cholo coming back as a zombie, and Kaufmann being all "Naah, you're dead. ..........Oh my God, you ARE dead!" totally wins that position.
And who can forget the classic scene when that guy pulls out a grenade and gets ready to throw it, then his hand gets cut off, he falls over, onto his grenade, and explodes. xD That had me howling in laughter.
